"Pitch Perfect 3" is back on track. According to Variety, the third installment of "Pitch Perfect" has found a new director in Trish Sie. She is tapped to sit at the helm after "Pitch Perfect 2" director Elizabeth Banks bowed out of the film.

It will only be Sie's second feature film, but she is no stranger to musical project. Her first directorial project is dance movie "Step Up All In". A professional dancer herself, she has also choreographed and co-directed music videos for OK Go.

The third "Pitch Perfect" movie has been pushed back from summer to December 22, 2017 in the States. Elizabeth Banks cited "parental responsibilities" as the reason of her departure. She also hoped a new director could avoid repetition. Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow are expected to reprise their respective roles.
