Christina Aguilera is teaming up with Nile Rodgers for a new song titled "Telepathy". The song, which will be featured on Netflix's upcoming hip-hop series "The Get Down" starring Shameik Moore, Justice Smith and Jaden Smith, is described as a 70s disco track.

Set to be released via iTunes on August 12, "The Get Down: Original Soundtrack From The Netflix Original Series" consists of 24 songs featuring Nas, Jaden, Zayn Malik, Miguel, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, Raury and more.

Fans can pre-order the album starting from August 5. So far, the songs released are Miguel's "Cadillac" and Michael Kiwanuka's "Black Man in a White World", which is the lead single from his second album "Love & Hate".

Executive producer Baz Luhrmann says in a statement, "This album is an introduction to the many musical genres and styles that can be heard in 'The Get Down', which is really a story of New York in the late 70's, an incredibly fertile time of creativity amid chaos. While our production is a musical that embodies many classic hits, we also use contemporary sounds and techniques connecting the dots between then and now. My great privilege is to have associated with such a diverse musical community."
