Adele reportedly made a staff member of a hotel she recently stayed at drive 140 miles for nothing. According to The Sun, the singer was enjoying a break at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse country hotel in Oxfordshire when she ordered the staffer to get her a pizza that she ended up not eating.
The publication reported that Adele was at the hotel with her partner Simon Konecki and their son Angelo. She phoned room service at 11 P.M. and asked the staff to get her a pizza from a pizzeria which was 70 miles away in her home neighborhood of Kensington, London.
People working at the hotel tried to convince her that they could make her pizza too. "She was told they had the best ovens. But she insisted that staff fetch the pizza from her local company," a source told The Sun. It took the staff member four hours to drive to London to fetch the pizza and deliver it to Adele's room.
"A member of staff drove all the way to London and came back with it. Unfortunately for Adele by that time it was 3 A.M. - and she was asleep," the source explained. "Soho Farmhouse staff members are trained to say yes to anything. Adele made the most of that. She obviously likes to have her home comforts, even when they are almost 100 miles away."
A rep for Adele has declined to comment on the report.
