Omar Mateen, the man who performed mass shooting in Orlando and killed 49 people, searched for 'Pulse Orlando' and 'Shooting' during the attack to see if it was trending on Facebook.

AceShowbiz - Omar Mateen, the gunman who killed 49 people and injured 53 others at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12, checked Facebook during his attack to find out if it was trending, according to a letter from Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, to Mark Zuckerberg. He logged into Facebook and searched for "Pulse Orlando" and "Shooting" after opening fire inside the gay club.
The senator also added in the letter released on Thursday, June 16 that Omar posted several messages on Facebook prior to the horrible attack. The letter also suggested that the senator and his staff had uncovered five Facebook accounts operated by Omar.
In one of his accounts, he blamed U.S. airstrikes for "the death of innocent women and children" while referring to the "Islamic state vengeance." "America and Russia stop bombing the Islamic state..I pledge my alliance to abu bakr al Baghdadi.. may Allah accept me," Omar wrote, referring to ISIS' leader.
"The real muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the west ... You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes..now taste the Islamic state vengeance," he wrote in another account, "In the next few days you will see attacks from the Islamic state in the usa."
