Mariah Carey opened up about her relationship with her fiance James Packer and revealed the secret to staying in shape. The 46-year-old diva admitted that she went on diet and maintained her eating habits to stay slim and it's not merely for her upcoming wedding, but it's for her own health.

The "We Belong Together" hitmaker, who said that she sometimes didn't notice if she gained weight, talked to Entertainment Tonight presenter Sharon Osbourne and discussed the matter. "I've been pretty consistent with this bleak diet that I am on," Carey explained. When asked about whether the wedding is her biggest motivation, she answered, "You know, it was the whole situation that made me want to try and be better for all. And then we do have to get fittings and dresses!"

She went on saying that dealing with her busy schedule wasn't easy. She has many things to do to prepare for her Las Vegas residency and her upcoming docuseries "Mariah's World". "There's a lot on my plate," she said. Though it seems to be stressful, she assured everyone that it would not affect her wedding with her businessman fiance. "That is the goal," she said of her wedding.

Osbourne then asked another question, "Who will wear the trousers in the relationship?" to which Carey responded, "Oh, darling! How can you ask me that question? Of course he'll wear his trousers, and I'll wear whatever ensemble I'm going to wear."
