The 'Rum Diary' actress sports a bruised eye and a cut lip in new pictures allegedly taken after a fight with her estranged husband last year.

New pictures showing Amber Heard's injuries are released on PEOPLE's latest issue. The photos show "The Rum Diary" actress sporting a bruised eye and a cut lip from an alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband Johnny Depp back in December 2015.
When filing for restraining order against Depp, Heard said in her declaration, "There also have been several prior incidents of domestic violence with Johnny, in particular there was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared that my life was in danger."
According to the blonde star, the Mad Hatter of "Alice Through the Looking Glass" broke his hand for punching the wall during their heated argument. The 52-year-old actor did take a break from filming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" in Australia last year due to hand injuries.
Heard claimed Depp had been "verbally and physically abusive" during their relationship. In their most recent fight, he allegedly threw a cell phone at her, "striking my cheek and eye with great force." Police was called but they said "no evidence of any crime" was found. Heard promptly accused the cops of lying.
Besides asking judge to order Depp to stay away from her, Heard who showed up in court with a bruised cheek demanded spousal support from her estranged husband. She was granted a restraining order against him, but her request for financial support was denied by the court.
