A source who saw the actor at the premiere of his movie 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' says Depp 'looked great' throughout the event.

AceShowbiz - How is Johnny Depp doing after Amber Heard filed for divorce from him on Monday, May 23? While the 52-year-old actor has not released an official statement regarding the matter, he stepped out for the premiere of his movie "Alice Through the Looking Glass" on the same day his estranged wife filed the divorce papers and no one would've guessed that he's been going through a difficult time.
"I never would've guessed he was going through a divorce, or anything like that," says PEOPLE's source who saw the Mad Hatter depicter at the event. Depp attended the special screening in Los Angeles without Heard, but he seemed to be in great spirits as he was seen goofing around with co-star Sacha Baron Cohen on the red carpet.
The source adds, "He looked great, considering. He looked more put together than in recent appearances, dressed appropriately for the occasion." The source says Depp was charming, polite and did not seem guarded at the event.
Depp and Heard got married in February 2015 after first meeting on the set of "The Rum Diary". The actress filed for divorce just three days after his mother Betty Palmer passed away. According to the divorce papers, she's asking for spousal support from Depp, but he has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to reject her request.
