Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have split after just 15 months of marriage. After the "Magic Mike XXL" actress filed for divorce on Monday, May 23, the "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" actor reportedly rejects her request for spousal support.
According to a new report, the 52-year-old actor has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who filed legal documents rejecting his estranged wife's claim on Wednesday, May 25. As previously reported, the actor, who possesses $400 million net worth, and the actress did not get a pre-nuptial agreement before they tied the knot in February last year.
Amber filed for divorce just two days after Johnny's mother Betty Sue Palmer passed away. She cited irreconcilable differences when she filed the petition. The couple has not been photographed together in public since mid-April.
Johhny and Amber started dating in 2012 after they met on the set of "The Rum Diary". "She was in my head, so I tracked her down," he gushed. "We tracked each other down. Actually, incidentally, it was amazing." When asked about their wedding, Johnny said, "It was at the first day of press on 'The Rum Diary'. Then we married that very day!"
