Hailey Baldwin has shot down rumors that she's feuding with Selena Gomez over Justin Bieber. The 19-year-old model had nothing but sweet words to say about the "Hands to Myself" singer as she tried to set the record straight in a chat with Us Weekly earlier this week.

"I think it sucks that people try to start things like that. There's never any truth to that, first of all," Baldwin told the site when attending the opening of Magnum in New York City. "She's a lovely girl. She's very kind. Her and I have a lot of mutual friends and it's all cool between everybody. We run in the same circles."

Rumors about Baldwin and Gomez's feud started a few months ago, after Stephen Baldwin's daughter went public with Bieber in January and they were pictured together numerous times on multiple occasions. Some of the snaps showed the duo getting close and even kissing.

Baldwin and Bieber appeared to split in March. That same month, the Canadian heartthrob said in his GQ cover story that Baldwin was "someone I really love" and someone he didn't want to "damage."

"I know that in the past I've hurt people and said things that I didn't mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I'm just more so looking at the future, making sure I'm not damaging them," he told the magazine back then. "What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged. It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard... I just don't want to hurt her."
