MTV has released the first 7 minutes of "Scream" season 2. True to the gory tone of the show, blood is already spilled in the first few minutes of the upcoming season, but there's an unsuspected twist this time.

It opens with a teen girl, played by Vine star Lele Pons. who returns home and can't find her cat. She looks for her pet in the attic and is surprised by her friend who has been hiding there. She's stabbed by her friend, but that scene is just part of a movie that is playing in theater where Audrey works.

Audrey later receives strange messages on her phone. When her shift ends and she seems to be alone, she bumps into a moviegoer who missed last call. Not long after, the two find themselves trapped in the theater with someone wearing a Brandon James mask trying to kill them.

The female moviegoer is stabbed repeatedly and falls to the ground. Audrey grabs a screwdriver from a display rack to defend herself and stabs the attacker with it. Noah arrives just in time to witness it, but it's later revealed that the Ghostface killer is just a prank and the moviegoer is not dead. Audrey and Noah are stunned as police arrive.
