Charlie Puth is releasing his high-profile collaboration with Selena Gomez as the next single off his debut album, "Nine Track Mind". The singer took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 11 to share the official artwork of the song called "We Don't Talk Anymore".

"And the next single for the summer is 'we don't talk anymore' featuring @selenagomez," he announced, captioning the black-and-white cover art. "I produced this song on my tiny laptop while traveling last year. the guitar part was literally recorded on my iphone. probably my favorite song on the album."

Co-written by Puth and Gomez themselves, the mid-tempo "We Don't Talk Anymore" is scheduled to start impacting pop radio on May 24. It comes as a follow-up to Puth's other hits "One Call Away" and the Meghan Trainor-assisted "Marvin Gaye".

In an interview earlier this year, Puth revealed that his new single was inspired by a friend's failed relationship. Of why he wanted Gomez to sing on it, he explained, "I met up with Selena, and she went through a very public relationship, on and off, and she could just relate to the song and the lyrical sentiment. I was playing the song for her, and she just started singing the second verse. I got chills. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, that sounds so real. You need to sing on it.' And she said yes."
