With her successful album "1989" and the massive tour that followed it, Taylor Swift unsurprisingly made a lot of money last year. But how much exactly did she earn to top Billboard's newly-unveiled list of highest-paid musicians of 2015?
To make the list, Billboard calculated artists' income from their records, streaming, publishing and tours. Swift made her way out to No. 1 after making $73.5 million including $7.2 million from her album and a staggering $61.7 million from its accompanying tour, which featured appearances from her A-list friends.
The 26-year-old diva also made $4.1 million from publishing royalties, thanks in large part to Ryan Adams' own "1989" featuring his reinterpretation of her songs.
Trailing behind Swift on the list is country superstar Kenny Chesney, whose $39.8 million includes $1.1 million from the sales of his music and $38.1 million from hitting the road across the country. The Rolling Stones, One Direction and Luke Bryan were other names making up the list's top 10, sitting at No. 3 ($39.6M), No. 5 ($24.2M) and No. 7 ($23.1M) respectively.
Despite her records-breaking album "25", Adele came out at No. 9 with a total of $20.5 million. Most of her money, of course, came from the record which has sold more than 5.5 million copies. She's the only artist on the list who didn't go on tour last year.
