Melissa McCarthy definitely crushed Jimmy Fallon in the latest edition of "Lip Sync Battle" on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". Appearing on the talk show to promote her new movie "The Boss", the actress raised the bar on the friendly competition with an epic performance.
The host, Fallon, kicked it off with Melanie's 1971 song "Brand New Key". He drew laughs from the audience as he pretended roller skating. McCarthy followed it up with DMX's "Gonna Give It to You", channeling her inner rapper.
Fallon later slayed it when he did Zayn Malik's "Pillowtalk", lying down on the floor and holding a pillow to match the song's lyrics. When McCarthy took the center stage again, she announced, "I'm obviously going to close with a song from the 'Pocahontas' soundtrack, this is 'Colors of the Wind'," and wore goggles.
She launched into the Vanessa Williams song and the backdrop showed nature scenes. Wind and rain machines blew at her along with fake leaves, birds, stuffed wolves and even glitter, prompting a standing ovation from the audience. With that, Fallon officially declared her a champion of the "Lip Sync Battle".
