Celebrity

The couple tried to make it during their three years of marriage but things like where to live kept coming in between them.

Drew Barrymore's marriage to Will Kopelman is not working. The couple, who share two young daughters, are reportedly splitting and planning to divorce after almost four years of marriage.

"They've had marriage issues for a while," a source close to the family told PEOPLE. Barrymore and Kopelman allegedly argued over where to live. While she was leaning towards Los Angeles, he was more comfortable remaining in Upper East Side, New York City.

Another source suggested that the problem ran deeper than that. "Drew had a very rebellious and wild childhood, with no family around her, and while she is a very different person now, and a great mother, some of that can stay with you," a source told Page Six, who was first to report the split.

Meanwhile, E! Online's insider suggested, "They are living separately. Over the past few months, things seem to be up and down with the couple. He has not been involved in her company Flower. They seemed also to not be very close or connected as a couple. Drew never spoke bad about her husband, they just seemed very disconnected."

They were said to have worked on their splits arrangements including where the girls will stay. Three-year-old Olive goes to a pre-school in NYC. The couple also have a one-year-old daughter named Frankie.

This would be Barrymore's third failed marriage albeit the longest. She was married to bartender Jeremy Thomas for less than two months in 1994. Her marriage to comedian Tom Green in 2001 lasted only five months.
