We've already known that Common will appear in the upcoming "Suicide Squad". However, his role remained mysterious until recently, when the rapper himself revealed some details about the character he's playing in an interview with Complex.
While promoting his next film "Barbershop: The Next Cut" alongside Ice Cube, Common told the publication that he's depicting a villain called Monster T in "Suicide Squad". "My role is basically a character who's in business with The Joker," he explained.
Directed by David Ayer, the DC supervillain flick is due to hit U.S. theaters on August 5. It will also star Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Will Smith and more.
In the same interview with Complex, Ice Cube addressed rumors claiming he's going to appear in the still-untitled new Spider-Man movie, which will feature Tom Holland as the new web slinger. "If I'm not playing Spider-Man, I'm not doing s**t," he jokingly said.
