So Disgusting! Gawker's Editor Makes Shocking Statement About Child Sex Tape in Hulk Hogan Trial

Gawker's former editor in chief Albert J. Daulerio stuns everyone in courtroom when answering a question about where he draws the line when it comes to posting videos of people having sex.

AceShowbiz - What you're about to read about Gawker's former editor's statement in Hulk Hogan sex tape trial was so unbelievable that it's disgusting. Albert J. Daulerio, a former editor in chief of the website who wrote the piece accompanying the publishing of Hogan's sex tape, defended his decision to post the sex tape during the trial on Wednesday, March 9.

"I enjoyed watching the video and found it very amusing. I thought it was newsworthy and worth discussing and putting on the site," he said of why he decided to post the footage without prior consent from Hogan. When the plaintiff's lawyer Douglas E. Mirell asked him, "Can you imagine a situation where a celebrity sex tape would not be newsworthy?", Daulerio replied, "If they were a child." The lawyer pressed him, "Under what age?" He responded, "Four."

"No 4-year-old sex tapes, OK," the attorney said.

Gawker has released a statement to address Daulerio's shocking statement. "He'd just said in the prior answer that he wouldn't post a tape of a child and when the question was repeated he obviously made the point in a flip way because his answer was already clear," the statement read.

On the other hand, Daulerio's boss and Gawker founder Nick Denton said in a videotaped testimony that he had not been "very excited" when Gawker had got its hand on a video showing Hogan having sex with a woman. He, however, did not stop his staff from posting the video, although he advised his editor "not to put up the whole tape."

Commenting on a letter from a lawyer asking to take down the video, Denton said it "wasn't persuasive." The video remained on the site for about six months until a court ordered its removal. Denton argued, "We continued to believe in its newsworthiness."

Hogan sues Gawker for publishing his sex tape with his friend Bubba the Love Sponge's wife, claiming it violated his private life. He testified in court on Monday that the publication of the sex tape was ruining his life. He seeks $100 million in damages.
