Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks' longtime feud was reignited earlier this week after the former's interview with Elle Canada was published. The Aussie raptress told the magazine that her nemesis was the one to blame for her rough 2015 which she now hoped she could " 'Men in Black' memory-erase."
Responding to the comment made about her, Azealia lashed out at Iggy on Twitter, writing, "Let me just kill this b***h. No one is talking about u so u choose to mention me.... Wrong move. Mentioning me is the only thing that will get you attention. Because ur music and nose job are trash."
Azealia also promised she would "take [her] pettiness to a whole new level," and she did exactly that when she dropped on Wednesday, March 2 a new song called "Used to Being Alone". The track doesn't contain harsh lyrics fans might have expected, but it finds the Harlem femcee sampling Iggy's "My World" from the "Ignorant Art" mixtape.
On her version, which may appear on her upcoming mixtape "Slay-Z", Azealia talks about an ex-lover over the D.R.U.G.S. production. "It took so long to get over you/ How do I prepare when I swore I'd never see you again?" she sings the chorus.
In the Elle interview, Iggy said that her rough 2015 was started by Azealia who accused her of stealing black culture. "I think the Azealia Banks thing is what really started it all. We don't like each other on a personal level, and that has gone on for many years - before the Black Lives Matter incident happened," she told the magazine. "Even though I still hate Azealia Banks, I wish I had said it in a way that didn't make people think I was oblivious to the movement."
