Dr. Luke has responded to the #FreeKesha movement that has been trending on social media since a New York judge denied Kesha's, formerly Ke$ha, attempt for an injunction against him. In a statement released on Monday, February 22 by his lawyer Christine Lepera, the producer revealed that Kesha's already "free" to make music without him in addition to once again denying sexual abuse allegations directed at him.

Back on Friday, New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich said that Kesha must uphold her recording contract with Dr. Luke and Sony Music. This ruling means she will have to complete six more albums with the producer, whom she said abused and raped her.

Commenting on the #FreeKesha movement, Lepera wrote in the statement, "The New York County Supreme Court on Friday found that Kesha is already 'free' to record and release music without working with Dr. Luke as a producer if she doesn't want to. Any claim that she isn't 'free' is a myth."

Lepera continued defending Luke, saying the rape accusations were "outright lies." She said, "Kesha and her counsel have cavalierly subjected Dr. Luke and his family to trial by Twitter, using a vicious smear campaign to ruin his reputation for financial gain while failing to support their claims. Kesha to date has never verified the allegations in this case - even when given the opportunity in her affidavit."

She added, "Nor has she ever offered a credible explanation as to why she would have signed a second recording agreement, recorded two albums and an EP and signed a publishing deal with Dr. Luke after allegedly being sexually abused. It will further be shown that the incidents alleged never happened."

Following Kesha's defeat, she's received support from fellow musicians like Ariana Grande, Fiona Apple, Lady GaGa and Demi Lovato. Taylor Swift showed her support by donating $250,000 to the 28-year-old songbird.
