Supermodel Stephanie Seymour got into trouble with the law. She was arrested on Friday, January 15 night in Connecticut after getting herself involved in a car accident.
The 47-year-old model stopped her Land Rover at the end of an off-ramp from Interstate 95 and put it in reverse. The vehicle collided with a Mercedes Benz and was on its side when police arrived at the scene.
"Upon arrival, I observed a black Land Rover sideways at the top of the ramp and behind it was a white Mercedes," the arrest document read. "As I approached the operator of the Black Land Rover, I detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage omitting from her mouth as she tried to answer my questions."
The on-duty officer continued, "After six or seven requests for her license, registration and insurance, she finally was able to fumble through her purse, as she handed over her Connecticut driver's license, along with a credit card." Seymour refused to take field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating under the influence and unsafe backing.
She was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on February 2. The driver of the other car did not report any injuries, TMZ said.
