Nick Carter was arrested in Florida on Wednesday, January 13. According to TMZ, the Backstreet Boys singer was taken into custody by the police after he got involved in a fight that broke out at the Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West.
Carter's arrest was confirmed by several other news outlets with ET pointing out that the boybander's full name Nickolas Gene Carter does appear in the jail's inmate log in Key West. However, other details including what caused the brawl and what charge he'll face are still unknown.
This is hardly the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant's first time dealing with cops. He was arrested after another bar brawl in 2002 and for DUI in 2005. During his years as a young idol, he also struggled with alcohol and drugs addiction.
Now, he is sober and currently expecting his first child with wife Lauren Kitt. "My wife and I are happy to personally announce that we are pregnant. It has been our dream to have a family together and we cannot wait to welcome our first child into the world," he said in a statement when announcing her wife's pregnancy back in November.
