The 'Full House' revival's producers were actually trying to hire Elizabeth to play Michelle Tanner after the Olsen twins declined to return.

AceShowbiz - The team behind Netflix's "Fuller House" previously asked twins Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen to reprise their "Full House" role as Michele Tanner. Learning that the possibility of the Olsen twins starring on the upcoming series was slim, producers made another attempt: trying to get the twins' younger sister Elizabeth Olsen to step in as Michelle.

In an interview with Andy Cohen, producer and returning actor John Stamos opened up about the casting back-up plan. "We actually went to - I don't think this has been talked about. I didn't do it. I think [executive producer] Jeff Franklin did. I said, 'Call the sister [Elizabeth]. Ask her... We talked to her agent and her agent was like, 'Come on. She's not going to do that.' But we did call her agent," he told Cohen.

John, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and Scott Weinger will be back as Jesse Katsopolis, Danny Tanner, Joey Gladstone, Becky Katsopolis and Steve Hale respectively. The 13-episode series will be released on February 26.
