The 'Twilight' actress beats out runners-up like Alicia Vikander and Kate Winslet in National Society of Film Critics Award

AceShowbiz - Kristen Stewart has won Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Clouds of Sils Maria". National Society of Film Critics made the announcement on Sunday, December 3. She beats out runners-up like Alicia Vikander ("Ex-Machina") and Kate Winslet ("Steve Jobs").

Movies "Spotlight" and "Carol" also won two awards each. "Spotlight" was honored with Best Picture and Best Screenplay while "Carol" nabbed awards for best director for Todd Haynes and best cinematography Ed Lachman.

Mark Rylance won best supporting for his performance in "Bridges of Spies", Michael B. Jordan for his work in "Creed", while Charlotte Rampling scored best actress for 45 years. "Timbuktu" was honored for Best Foreign Film.

On the same day, Kristen attended a screening of "Clouds of Sils Maria" at the IFC Center in Manhattan. She donned a white shirt paired with a grey tank top and white trousers. Her hair was styled in side-swept waves. The movie as already released in US/UK theaters and DVD, so the "Still Alice" actress was clearly there courting Oscar buzz.
