Aretha Franklin stole the show at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors, aired on Tuesday, December 29 on CBS, with a rousing and emotional performance of "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman". The legendary R&B diva performed the song in a tribute to singer-songwriter Carole King.

Carole was one of the evening's five honorees alongside George Lucas, actress Rita Moreno, conductor Seiji Ozawa and actress Cicely Tyson. Carole was totally freaking out when Aretha took the stage to perform. Her performance even caused President Barrack Obama to wipe a tear away from his eye.

Other celebrities like George Lucas, Gina Rodriguez and Rosie Perez were spotted singing along with Aretha, but no one perhaps was as ecstatic as Carole who wrote the song made famous by the diva in 1968. Aretha left the piano and walked to the center of the stage for a final high note before she received standing ovation from the audience.

Other friends and fans who honored Carole at the event included Sara Bareilles, John Kerry, Janelle Monae and James Taylor.
