The 'Canyons' actor has resigned from Adult Performer Advocacy Committee and some porn companies have cut ties with him.

AceShowbiz - Porn world is distancing itself from James Deen after he was accused of rape. The adult male performer who went on to starring opposite Lindsay Lohan in 2013 movie "The Canyons" has stepped down as a chairman of Adult Performer Advocacy Committee's board of directors following the sexual assault allegations against him.

"APAC recognizes the seriousness of the statements made by performers in the community and that they indicate a major conflict between a board member and other members of the organization," the announced. "The APAC Board wants to state unequivocally that we stand with performers and other sex workers who are victims of any sort of sexual assault. APAC is committed to being a safe space for performers, and to creating a safer and healthier industry."

Deen has also been dropped as a sex advice columnist in gossip blog The Frisky. The editor Amelia McDonell-Parry said, "I very much liked James Deen. I enjoyed working with him on WWJDD. I asked him to do an advice column because I liked his directness and his confidence, but most of all, I liked his emphasis on communication, honesty and, most of all, CONSENT."

She continued, "That he has been accused of violating Stoya's consent, that women I respect have since contacted me directly to say that they know of others to whom he has done the same thing? Well, I'm f**king heartsick over it."

Porn company, Evil Angel, cut ties with Deen as well. "In light of the recent accusations against James Deen, Evil Angel today has decided not to sell any newly created scenes featuring Deen," said the founder John Stagliano. "While our company presents what is consensual and exploratory about aggressive and rough sex, these accusations are of a nature so contrary to our company values that we feel it necessary to suspend the sales until more information is available."

Deen was accused by his ex-girlfriend Stoyas, also a porn star, of sexually assaulting him. A former adult film star named Tori Lux then came forward in an essay published by The Daily Beast that she, too, was assaulted by Deen. A current porn star named Ashley Fires followed with another accusation, claiming that she was "almost raped" by the male porn star after filming a porn scene for S&M company Kink.com. The company has since decided to "cease all ties with James Deen, both as a performer and a producer." None of the women filed any police reports.

James Deen himself denied any wrongdoings. "I respect women and I know and respect limits both professionally and privately," he tweeted. However, the porn star had a history of making insensitive rape jokes on his social media. "Do they make candy hearts that say 'rape me'???" he wrote on Valentine's Day 2011. He posted in 2012, "It's not rape if you yell surprise... then it's a party."
