'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' May Have More Than One Main Hero
Movie

According to Eddie Redmayne, the main character Newt Scamander will be joined by three other central characters who will assist him in completing his task.

AceShowbiz - As production continues on "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", a new plot detail about the movie has arrived. It is known that the movie will follow the adventure of Newt Scamander, but he doesn't seem to be the only central character in the upcoming film.

According to leading man Eddie Redmayne, Newt will be accompanied by a group of adventurers during his adventure. Eddie explained that Newt would be joined by three other characters who would help him complete his dangerous task. "The assumption is Newt's front and center, but it's a quartet. So that feels like it slightly takes the [pressure] off. At least, that's what I'm telling myself," Eddie said.

The three characters who will join Newt are Tina (Katherine Waterston), a determined employee at the Magical Congress of the United States of America, Queenie (Alison Sudol), the one who possesses an ability to telepathically peel back the layers of the mind, and Jacob (Dan Fogler), the first Muggle main character in "Harry Potter" franchise.

The upcoming movie centers on Newt, the schoolbook's fictitious author in the Potterverse. It is set 70 years before Harry Potter reads Scamander's book in Hogwarts and will also chronicle Newt's adventures in New York, where he travels to discover and document more magical creatures. Directed by David Yates, the "Harry Potter" spin-off is slated for a U.S. release on December 18, 2016.
