Harry Connick Jr. is getting his own variety show. The "American Idol" judge is set to host syndicated daytime talk show "Harry" which will debut in September 2016 on FOX-owned TV stations in 17 markets.

The news was announced on Tuesday, October 13 by Ed Swindler, President of NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and NBC Broadcast Operations. "Harry", which will feature man-on-the-street interviews, live musical performances and parodies, among other "surprises," is also being sold to other leading station groups across the country.

Justin and Eric Stangel ("Late Show with David Letterman") along with Connick and Anne Marie Wilkins will serve as executive producers for the show.

"I'm a lucky guy. I get to be a husband to a wonderful wife, a father to three incredible daughters, and an entertainer to the most amazing fans. And now, I'm honored to be able to put smiles on people's faces on a daily basis," Harry says in a statement, "Working with the amazingly talented and hysterical Stangel Brothers is a dream come true. Harry will be an hour filled with fun, music and laughter. Fasten your seat belts - it's gonna be one heck of a good time!"

Harry will return as "American Idol" judge along with Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez in its final season which premieres in January 2016.
