'Trainspotting' Sequel Will Start Filming Next Year, Director Danny Boyle Proposes Possible Title
Movie

The director confirmed that the film would start shooting next year and would be released later in the same year while also mentioning one possible title for the movie.

AceShowbiz - Director Danny Boyle said earlier this month that he could make a sequel to 1996's hit "Trainspotting". The idea about making "Trainspotting 2" became more legitimate as the director revealed that the movie was planned to start shooting in the summer of 2016 and would be released later in the same year. Boyle also mentioned the title he hoped for the sequel.

In an interview to promote his latest film "Steve Jobs" in London, Boyle confirmed that the principal photography was planned for "May/June." "They only get this little window off, so either you wait for the contract to run down, which could be as late as three years, or you kind of try and do it in this window," he said.

Boyle assured fans that the original cast members would reprise their respective roles, "But all four lads [Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle and Ewen Bremner] are back in." Boyle added that the film would include some elements from "Porno", the sequel to "Trainspotting" which was written by Irvine Welsh, but the script for the new film was "it's own thing" and would be quiet different from the book.

The director also said that the upcoming movie would not be called "Porno," while also making a joke about a possible title for the film. "No, we're going to try and call it 'T2' but there might be some issues there with James Cameron. I'll have to beg and we'll have to go to James Cameron and say 'What do you think?' "
