The Compton rapper will perform selections from 'To Pimp a Butterfly' at the concert scheduled to take place at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on October 20.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar is bringing his newest album "To Pimp a Butterfly" to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. next month. The rapper is slated to perform selections from his second full-length alongside the National Symphony Orchestra.
The special concert is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 20. Tickets for the event will start at $35 and go on sale for the Kennedy Center members on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:00 A.M. Everyone else can purchase their tickets on the next day.
Lamar's performance will be conducted by Steven Reineke, the Principal Pops Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra who is also music director of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. He's also the one who led Nas as the rapper performed cuts off his classic album "Illmatic" with NSO last year.
"To Pimp a Butterfly" was released earlier this year. The critically-acclaimed project debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200 with the second-largest sales week of 2015 at that time.
