The sportsman walked off the field knowing he was seriously injured and underwent an X-ray to determine which part was really broken.

AceShowbiz - Tony Romo was injured at the Dallas Cowboys' game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 20. He broke his collarbone after Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks sacked him in the third quarter of the game.

Romo was caught on tape mouthing "it's broken" as he walked off the field. He was replaced by Brandon Weeden who completed all of his seven passes for 73 yards and one touchdown. Romo did 18 out of 27 passes for 195 yards before sidelined. Cowboys held a 20-10 victory.

Romo later underwent an X-ray to confirm the injury and was told that he fractured his left clavicle. Reporter Erin Andrews said the quarterback exited the X-ray room clutching his arm. The long-term prognosis for his injury is yet determined, pending further tests in Dallas on Monday.

The 35-year-old previously broke the same body part in the fall of 2010. He was sidelined for the remainder of the season, but it's unclear how long he would be benched this time. "I've had it before so we'll deal with it and move on," he said in a post-game interview. The Cowboys' Dez Bryant was already out of the season after injuring his foot and is expected back only in December.

"Of course, we [Jones and Romo] both were sick," owner Jerry Jones told NFL Network's Desmond Purnell. "It's not that we haven't literally had a similar situation more than one time before and certainly no one has pushed up his expectations any higher than Tony about what he can do for us. ...He's a competitor. It broke his heart, broke my heart."
