After months of gender transformation, Caitlyn Jenner has finally filed legal documents asking a judge to formally change her name from Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn, and her gender from male to female. According to her representative, the court papers were filed on Tuesday, September 15 in L.A. County Superior Court.

It has been widely reported that Caitlyn is asking the judge to keep some private information sealed because she fears physical threats. Among the personal information she is afraid of divulging is her medical history, and so she's asking the judge to seal that and other highly confidential details.

Prior to legally changing her name and gender, Caitlyn was featured on the season finale of the E! docuseries "I Am Cait" having an unofficial re-naming ceremony. Sad to say, none of her family members, including her famous daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, as well as son Brody Jenner, attended the ceremony.
