"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" debuts the first teaser trailer for viewing pleasure. It opens with the scenes from the first movie and the second one before proceeding to tease what's beyond the giant walls of Chicago. It also gives a first look at Jeff Daniels' character.
Adapted from the third book of Veronica Roth's "Divergent" novel series, "Allegiant" is directed by Robert Schwentke who helmed the second installment "The Divergent Series: Insurgent". It is scheduled to open in North American theaters starting March 18, 2016.
Shailene Woodley reprises her role as the main heroine. Theo James, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Naomi Watts, Zoe Kravitz, and Maggie Q are among the returning cast as well. The story will conclude with a fourth film "The Divergent Series: Ascendant" in 2007.
