Sarah Hyland nearly embarrassed herself on the stage of 2015 Teen Choice Awards. The "Modern Family" star stumbled while walking to the center stage to present Choice Comedian category alongside "Pitch Perfect" star Skylar Astin.
Hyland, wearing gold crop top and white high heels, walked in front of Astin with the card in her hand. She tripped over a piece of stage set, lunged forward but managed to catch her balance. She then threw her hands up in the air in exasperation and yelled, "Are you f**king kidding me", but she quickly covered her mouth because it was live TV.
Moving up to the microphone, Hyland said with a laugh, "I do that sometimes. I'm awkward like that." Astin chimed in, "We're the first ones, you know what I mean?" According to E! Online, Movie Actor winner Josh Hutcherson kept laughing about the incident on the background.
Once things got under control, Hyland presented Ellen DeGeneres with the aforementioned award. The 24-year-old later tweeted, "You guys. I tripped. I tripped on camera. I tripped on stage in front of all you. #mylife #clumsyforlife."
The 17th Annual Teen Choice Awards is held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles and airs live starting at 8 P.M. ET on Sunday, August 16 on Fox.
