The first footage of "Captain America: Civil War" debuted at Disney's D23 expo which was held in Anaheim, California. Stars Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie flew from Germany, where the movie was being filmed, to personally deliver the video for an excited audience.

The footage kicks off with Captain, Black Widow and Falcon taking down Crossbones. Bucky Barnes is seen trapped behind a cage. "You know, he remembered you. Your pal, your buddy, your Bucky," says Crossbones to Captain.

Then it cuts to General Thunderbolt Ross addressing the superheroes in the Avengers headquarter. "The world owes you an unpayable debt. A lot great many people see you as a hero. There are some who prefer the word vigilante. People are afraid," he says.

A portion of the footage chronicles Captain America arguing with Iron Man over a program that would require superheroes to register with the government. Members of the Avengers later take sides with Falcon, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch following Captain, and War Machine and Hawkeye following Iron Man. There's also a scene of Ant-Man stammering like a fanboy when Captain America takes him under his wing.

The trailer, according to several sources, ends with the superheroes coming to a blow. Disney/Marvel has not released the footage to public yet.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, "Civil War" will debut in theaters May 6, 2016.
