AceShowbiz - J.K. Simmons and Terry Bradshaw are joining Ed Helms and Owen Wilson in upcoming comedy "Bastards". Cinematographer Larry Sher will make his directorial debut with the movie for Alcon Entertainment.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Atlanta and in Miami in September with Warner Bros. releasing the movie through Alcon's output deal. Simmons and Bradshaw will play themselves as a potential father figure to Helms' and Wilson's characters.

Helms and Wilson star as two brothers who are in quest to find their father after discovering that their mother raised them to believe that their father passed away when they were young.

Alcon is financing "Bastards" and producing with Montecito Picture Company. Montecito's Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock and Ali Bell will serve as producers alongside Alcon's Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Chris Fenton and Chris Coles, meanwhile, are exec producing. The script for the movie is written by Justin Malen ("Bad Teacher 2").

Simmons, who won an Academy Award for his work in "Whiplash", will next be seen in "The Accountant" and "La La Land", where he will reteam with "Whiplash" director Damien Chazelle.
