It is obvious that Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter got involved in a romantic relationship in "Captain America: The First Avenger". As the film didn't expose too much about their relationship, people were curious whether the pair did consummate their romance during the film.

While stopping by a panel at the Boston Comic-Con, Hayley Atwell, the actress who portrayed Carter in the film, shared her opinion about the couple. When a fan at the panel asked Atwell if her character and Captain America ever had physical contact during their tour of duty through World War II, Atwell said, "I think so. I think they were soul mates... Yeah, I think they must have done it."

However, Atwell's opinion was contradictory to her co-star's opinion. Back in April, Steve depicter Chris Evans speculated that the superhero was most likely a virgin, pointing out that Steve was still on duty at the time.

Steve Rogers will next be seen in "Captain America: Civil War". The film features a conflict between the Cap and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) over the issue of superhuman registration. The movie also features other superheroes such as Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), The Vision (Paul Bettany), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film will arrive on May 6, 2016 Stateside.
