Jena Malone Rumored to Play Barbra Gordon in 'Batman v Superman'
Movie

The 'Hunger Games' star will reportedly play Barbra Gordon, a character which has two alter egos Batgirl and Oracle, in the upcoming superhero pic 'Dawn of Justice'.

AceShowbiz - Fans already know that Jena Malone is going to take part in upcoming DC superhero flick "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", although her role is still undisclosed. Now, Latino Review claims to have known her role, revealing that the 30-year-old actress would play Barbra Gordon.

Gordon is the current Batgirl who works alongside Batman and the first Robin in the comics. She is also a daughter of Commissioner James Gordon, who has been rumored to be dead in the upcoming movie. After Barbra was paralyzed by the Joker in Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke" graphic novel, she adapted alter ego Oracle and helped the Caped Crusader and other heroes using a massive world-wide communications and espionage network.

Previously, Malone was rumored to play a female version of Robin based on the Carrie Kelley character from Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns". It was her recently-dyed red hair which sparked the speculation that she would play Kelley. However, when the Comic-Con trailer surfaced, fans immediately noticed that it wasn't Malone who played Robin. It can be seen from Robin's suit in the trailer which resembles man's body size. So, Robin is possibly a young man played by Zack Snyder's son Eli Snyder.

Even if the rumor is true, it is still unclear whether Malone will play Batgirl or Oracle in the upcoming movie.

"Batman v Superman" centers on the conflict between the two titular superheroes, Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill). It will mark the launching of DC Cinematic Universe in which other superheroes such as Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) join the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel.

Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Ray Fisher and Laurence Fishburne join Cavill and Affleck in the cast. Directed by Zack, the movie will arrive in U.S. theaters on March 25, 2016.
