Jena Malone Could Be Female Robin in 'Batman v Superman'
Movie

An extra risked a $5 million fine by telling a Michigan morning news reporter that Robin would be played by an actress.

Jena Malone's role in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been a mystery but all signs lead to her being Carrie Kelly a.k.a. female Robin. The film's extra let it spill that Malone would play the masked superhero who first appeared in Frank Miller's comic book "The Dark Knight Returns".

Local Michigan news station WILX-10 reporter Kirk Montgomery said he spoke with one of the extras at Michigan State University where the cast and crew were filming a fight scene between Ben Affleck's Batman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. "I've also learned that the character of Robin is now female," he said.

The unnamed extra could be facing a hefty $5 million fine for spoiling the movie's top secret after signing a non-disclosure agreement with Warner Bros.

Malone was not seen on the set, but her latest appearance supported the theory. Her Instagram photo sees her sporting short red hair identical of the comic book character. This is also a coincidence to the rumor that director Zack Snyder has been leaning on Miller's work in doing the movie although Kelly was only 13 in the comic book.

"Batman v Superman" will be released in theaters March 25, 2016. The set report also unveiled that the fight scene would take place at a red carpet party event with fake paparazzi trucks parked just outside.
