The knights and princesses of Westeros invaded Hall H of San Diego Convention Center when the "Game of Thrones" Comic-Con panel took place on Friday, July 10. Stars Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Alfie Allen, Liam Cunningham, Natalie Dormer, Gwendoline Christie and Carice van Houten as well as director David Nutter were on hand to answer questions from fans during the event hosted by Seth Meyers.

Of course, the big deaths in the season 5 finale were among the topics that were brought up during the discussion. While there were many theories on how Jon Snow could survive after being stabbed repeatedly, Nutter who directed the episode recalled he told President Barack Obama a few weeks ago, "Jon Snow is deader than dead."

Asked whether her character Melisandre might know a magic thing that could bring Jon back to life, van Houten coyly responded, "I'm as in the dark as you are all. But who knows man, I can't tell you anything."

Confirming another death in the episode, Nutter told EW about Stannis' fate, "From the very beginning, and [through] the script process, that was the intent - he's dead." When host Meyers mentioned how Stannis' death would be good news for Davos, Cunningham responded, "I don't think that's going to happen, especially when he finds out what that did," while pointing to van Houten whose character burnt Stannis' daughter to death.

Christie, meanwhile, defended her character who missed it when Sansa finally lit the candle. "I didn't blow the candle," she said. "I had to stand for three months, watching a window for a candle. Give me a break!"

Williams said she didn't know how Arya would handle her loss of sight, but she's already worried how difficult it would be to work with the contacts required for her scene. "I'm worried if I'm going to have to do any fighting or anything. One) I can't see and 2) they're really uncomfortable," she said.

Also at the panel, a sizzle reel of the stars auditioning for their roles was shown. The video has now landed online.
