The sneak peek at the upcoming season of the Showtime series finds Carrie in danger many times, as Saul calls her 'naive and stupid.'

The first teaser for "Homeland" season 5 has made its way out for viewing pleasure. Sharing footage from the upcoming installment, the video sees Carrie (Claire Danes) getting confronted by Saul (Mandy Patinkin), possibly for leaving her old job following her mistakes in the last season.

"You turned your back on your entire life - what are you atoning for? Keeping America safe?" Saul asks her. "You're being naive and stupid, something you never were before." Carrie responds that she's not atoning, adding, "I'm just trying to do good work."

There is also an explosion and Carrie is in danger several times, being kidnapped in daylight and later getting dragged in the dark. Quinn (Rupert Friend) is also featured in the video although he's not seen interacting with other characters.

The fifth season will pick up two years after Carrie Mathison's ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the "war on terror," Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.

The show has added Sebastian Koch, Miranda Otto, Alexander Fehling and Sarah Sokolovic to the cast for the upcoming season. Most recently, Ukrainian actor Mark Ivanir was tapped to recur as Ivan Krupin, a Russian intelligence agent, serving as Saul's counterpart in the SVR. Micah Hauptman, meanwhile, landed a guest role as CIA tech Mills who works with Otto's character out of the Berlin Station.

"Homeland" will return with the new installment in the fall on Showtime.
