Ben Affleck is really trying his best to spend more time together with his kids following divorce announcement from Jennifer Garner. Recently, the "Gone Girl" actor was spotted leaving for Atlanta, Georgia, by private plane to rejoin his kids and estranged wife.
It has been a busy week for Ben. After a trip to Bahamas with his kids and Jennifer over the Fourth of July weekend, Ben returned to Los Angeles for business, where he was also spotted without his wedding ring. He subsequently flew to Atlanta, where Jennifer was filming "Miracles from Heaven".
"The minute he was done, he packed up some gifts and got on a plane to see his kids," a source told PEOPLE. "He is committed to his family. He wants to be with his kids." The pair were apparently fully committed to co-parenting their children, just like what they said in a joint statement to announce their divorce. "He spent a great deal of time hanging with the kids. They had a lot of great activities they were able to do together with the family and separately that he really appreciated," the source added.
Following the split, Ben reportedly turned to his ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow for support. Gwyneth had experienced a divorce after nine years of marriage with Chris Martin so it was expected that she could give some advice for Ben. "Gwyneth has been through a marriage break-up herself, so understands," an insider said. Earlier this month, Ben reportedly asked for his mother's support after his split from Jennifer.
