Ben has returned to the U.S. following his trip to the Bahamas with his estranged wife and their three children over the Fourth of July weekend. He was spotted making a solo Starbucks run in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 5 minus his wedding ring.
In some photos obtained by ET, the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor looked somber with messy hair and beard. He wore a black leather jacket over a grey Detroit City tee and blue jeans while holding a cup of coffee.
Ben left the Bahamas on Friday, July 3 alone. At that time, he was still seen with his wedding ring. An eyewitness told the site that Ben appeared "very nervous," and "seemed uncomfortable" at the docks, where he was transported to a private airport.
On Saturday, the "Gone Girl" actor was spotted riding around on his motorcycle and in his SUV. An eyewitness said he appeared "sad and despondent" while driving around for an hour and a half without his wedding band.
In some photos from Ben and Jennifer's Bahamas vacation obtained by PEOPLE, the former couple could be seen sitting next to each other on stairs to the beach. At that time, they still wore their wedding rings. An onlooker told the site that the exes had "no physical contact" while having a "serious" and somber conversation that lasted for only a few minutes.
Although Ben appeared to be "distracted" during the conversation, the onlooker added, "[Ben and Jennifer] seemed to be cordial to each other. They would look at each other and speak and then both look away in silence. A lot of the time, they seemed to just stare off into space."
