This season's finale of 'The View' on August 6 will be Perez's last day as a co-host on the ABC talk show.

AceShowbiz - Rosie Perez is leaving "The View" again, this time for good. She will bid farewell to the show audience on this season's finale set to air on August 6. "Rosie wants to thank ABC for their graciousness and their flexibility with her schedule during the Broadway run," a rep for Perez says.

"The View" executive producer Bill Wolff informed the ABC daytime show's staff about Perez's exit in a memo on Tuesday, July 7. "Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting," he said. "Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day."

He added, "Rosie will always be a part of 'The View' family, and we will welcome her back as a guest anytime to catch up. We'll plan a proper send off for her in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please join me in thanking her for her great work on the show."

Perez took a month off in January to prepare for her role in Broadway play "Fish in the Dark". At that time, rumors spread that the actress was leaving the show after only four months. ABC quickly denied the reports, saying in a statement, "Her status with the show has not changed." Perez indeed returned to the show in February.

Perez was added to "The View" panel in season 18 along with Nicolle Wallace and Rosie O'Donnell. Recently, Raven-Symone was tapped as a permanent co-host to fill void left by O'Donnell following her second exit in February. There have been rumors that Wallace might be cut too, but her future has not been officially addressed yet by the network.
