"True Detective" will keep addressing personal issues of its main characters while the investigation of the big case is still ongoing. In a preview for the next episode, Paul is seen lamenting about his life and later having a meltdown on a sidewalk.
In another scene, Ray has a heartfelt conversation with his son and they later share a hug. Ani is speaking with someone, probably her sister, about an experience from their childhood.
As the investigation of the big case continues, Paul apparently takes part in an ambush with Ray. Ray also goes with Ani to a site which their victim visited so many times. As Ani wonders what the place meant for their victim, Ray speculates that it may be where "the bodies were buried."
Meanwhile, Frank says, "Somebody is pulling me out on the streets." Refusing to back down, he hints that things are going to get worse.
"Down Will Come" will air Sunday, July 12 at 9 P.M. on HBO. The official synopsis has not been released yet.
