"Empire" isn't returning until this fall, but sneak peeks at the upcoming season 2 have already been shared by series co-creator Lee Daniels. The critically-acclaimed filmmaker recently updated his Instagram with behind-the-scenes video and pictures from the set of the show.

The video features guest star Chris Rock as well as series regular Terrence Howard sporting similar orange jumpsuit, revealing that Rock will play a fellow inmate to Howard's Lucious Lyon, who was arrested for alleged murder in the first season finale. The pictures, meanwhile, see extras and the crew preparing for the filming in a prison.

"Empire" season 2 is set to premiere September 23 on FOX. Besides Chris Rock, other guest stars confirmed for the second installment include Adam Rodriguez, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and Ne-Yo. Oprah Winfrey is additionally said make appearance.
