Jennifer Love Hewitt and husband Brian Hallisay welcomed their second child on Wednesday, June 24. The baby boy who is named Atticus James Hallisay joins big sister Autumn James Hallisay, the couple's first child.

Hewitt's spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE on Wednesday, June 24, that the 36-year-old actress safely delivered her son. It was just 18 months after the couple welcomed their first child in November 2013.

The "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" actress first announced that she was expecting her second child in January, when Autumn had just celebrated her 1st birthday. It was after she had finished working for TV series "Criminal Minds" on which she played FBI profiler Kate Callahan. She left the show after one season so that she had more time with her family.

In the May issue of American Baby magazine, she opened up that she felt great when she was pregnant. "I feel my best when I'm pregnant, which means I probably should have 18 children. It won't happen but I do feel good," she told the magazine.

It seemed that she would have to balance her career and parenting as she didn't plan to hire a nanny to take care of her children. "We didn't have a night nurse, we didn't have a nanny. We haven't ever had any of that stuff. It's been really interesting to do it all ourselves," the "Jewtopia" actress told PEOPLE in May.
