The real estate tycoon and 'Celebrity Apprentice' host was accused of hiring paid actors to attend his presidential announcement on Tuesday, June 16.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump denied that he hired paid actors to cheer at his presidential announcement on Tuesday, June 16. A spokesperson for the real estate mogul told E! News on Wednesday that the claims were not true and that they would not issue a statement.

Earlier in the day, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the host of "The Apprentice" offered paid actors $50 to cheer his 2016 presidential candidacy. According to the site, New York-based Extra Mile Casting sent an email to its client list of background actors on Friday, June 12 looking up extras to beef up attendance at Donald's event.

"We are looking to cast people for the event to wear t-shirts and carry signs and help cheer him in support of his announcement," read the alleged email, "We understand this is not a traditional 'background job,' but we believe acting comes in all forms and this is inclusive of that school of thought." The actors were reportedly paid $50 for fewer than three hours of work.

Rumors about Donald hiring extras for his Tuesday event emerged after anti-Trump activist Angelo Carusone posted in an article an Instagram photo of a man she recognized as a background actor posing at Donald's event. The photo showed actor Domenico Del Giacco posing alongside actress Courtney Klotz. The Instagram account has since been removed.

Another anti-Trump activist Megan Specia tweeted a picture which allegedly showed an employee at the event handing out handwritten signs. "@realDonaldTrump staffer not too pumped i took pic of 'homemade' signs (passed out to people before event) in trash," she captioned it.
