Showtime has released a new promo for "Masters of Sex" season 3, offering a glimpse at Josh Charles who landed a recurring role in the upcoming season of the drama series. He doesn't say a word in the video, but is seen in what seems to be a business meeting with Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan).
The former star of "The Good Wife" portrays Daniel Logan, "a self-made businessman working in the scent industry. In an attempt to bottle the smell of sex and market an aphrodisiac to the general public, Dan seeks out Masters and Johnson's expertise on desire. A charismatic salesman, Dan's involvement with Masters and Johnson becomes complicated."
The promo video also sees Masters and Johnson in press conference and various public affairs as they publish their study. A three-way relationship may further complicate things as Masters' wife Libby is seen kissing Johnson in bed.
"Masters of Sex" season 3 is set in 1966, five years after events in the second season. It follows Master and Johnson as they find themselves in the glare of the national spotlight after their controversial sex study is finally unveiled.
The new season premieres Sunday, July 12 at 10 P.M. on Showtime. In anticipation of the show's return, a new poster has been shared as well.
