AceShowbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael Bay are teaming up for a movie centering on the Rwandan national cycling team. According to The Hollywood Reporter, DiCaprio and Bay are in talks to set up the untitled project at Paramount.

The duo will produce the movie via their respective shingles Appian Way and Bay Films. While DiCaprio is not attached to star and Bay is not directing the film, "Virunga" director Orlando von Einsiedel is tapped to helm the movie which is still in early development and does not have a script.

The untitled Rwandan project will follow Jacques "Jock" Boyer, who was the first American cyclist to race in The Tour de France. After retiring at the age of 32, Jock eventually went to Rwanda and helped form the country's cycling team, Team Rwanda. One of the team members later competed in the 2012 London Olympics.

Sources tell the site that DiCaprio and Bay got connected on the project through Bay's former assistant-turned-vp, Elyse Klaits. Bay is an animal-rights activist and was a big fan of "Virunga". According to insiders, both sides came upon the story and then decided to team up.
