Kelly Osbourne is facing backlash from animal lovers after she showed off her expensive dogs on Instagram. The former "Fashion Police" host posted on Wednesday, May 27 a photo of her holding her two Pomeranian puppies which were reportedly bought for $27,000. "Me and my babies! My babies and me!!!!" she captioned it.
Animal rights supporters vented their anger on Kelly's photo, slamming her for seemingly promoting unnatural breeding by buying the dogs instead of adopting them from shelters. @real.michelle commented, "So wrong to support this kind of breeding and breeding in general. You are supporting puppy mills and using your social influence to support breeding instead of adopting the millions of unwanted animals in shelters that are being killed every day. Stop encouraging this by putting this on your Instagram it's disgusting!"

Kelly reportedly purchased the dogs from Betty's Teacup Yorkies, where Paris Hilton famously gets her dogs. According to BTY's website, the dogs were flown from South Korea and they don't work with any puppy mills.
Animal rights activist Kris Kelly told Radar Online that she was surprised Kelly bought dogs because her family usually prefers to adopt. "Sharon had adopted a rescue dog from us, a Yorkshire Terrier," Kris shared, "Sharon came out to one of our events, and adopted the dog that had been recovered from a puppy mill. I am shocked that Kelly would buy puppies."
"Doesn't Kelly know not to buy puppies when her mom is so active in helping animals? The animals that are trapped in that world have no voice. Shame on you Kelly Osbourne!" she added. "Next time Kelly is seeking to add to her pet family, she should adopt from a rescue group."
