An arrest warrant was issued for the 23-year-old reality TV star on May 27 after she allegedly choked, punched, and slapped her ex-fiance on the previous day.

AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans confirmed that she would turn herself to police after an arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday, May 27. The 23-year-old reality TV star allegedly choked, punched, and slapped her ex-fiance Nathan Griffith on the previous day.

Jenelle's lawyer, Amy S. Lawrence, told Us Weekly the reason why she was wanted. "I can confirm that there is a warrant out for Jenelle's arrest for criminal domestic violence, stemming from an incident that happened last night. She is not taking any charges out on him," Amy explained.

Amy also revealed that Nathan actually didn't want to press charges on his ex-fiancee but he was pressured to do so by police. Nathan apparently wanted to help the "Teen Mom 2" star dismiss the charges. "He will do everything that he can to get these charges dismissed for Jenelle. He understands that she's hurt because they've broken up, and he's dating somebody else and things escalated in a way they shouldn't have," Amy continued. "But he does not want her to have any kind of criminal consequence for this."

Amy said that Jenelle would hand herself on the following day, May 28. She said, "We are going to turn Jenelle in tomorrow morning, and we'll have her bond hearing tomorrow afternoon in Myrtle Beach City."

Regarding Jenelle's claims that Nathan ran over her, Amy said that Jenelle did not require medical treatment. The attorney said that her client might want to get back together with her ex-fiance but unfortunately he had moved on. "She's just... I think that in her heart she thought that maybe with them breaking up that they would get back together because they have a child together. And I think she's just very hurt that he has moved on," Amy added.
